A big thank you to everyone who attended last month’s Friends of City Business Expo. We had nearly 300 guests visit over the three hours, with great feedback from the members who exhibited. The Aussie Barbeque Company put on a fantastic feast outside with long queues waiting for their awesome burgers, and Mercedes Benz of Chelmsford sold yet another car, showing that Friends of City really works for local business!
Time has flown by and we are already taking bookings for the next meeting which is a breakfast event on Thursday 20th November. If you haven’t been before, why not come and see why Friends of City is so popular? The group is flourishing as we welcome new guests at every meeting from a range of business sectors across Chelmsford, Essex and surrounding areas.
We are looking forward to helping you promote your businesses and join the many attendees who have won new clients and contracts over a cup of tea and a buffet. And the best bit of all – attending this great event won’t cost you a penny!
What do you need to know?
We get together once a month at Chelmsford City FC (Melbourne Park, Salerno Way, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 2EH), alternating between breakfast and lunchtime meetings. The next meeting is a breakfast event on Thursday 20th November from 7am – 9am. The meetings are free to attend – if you like us and you’d like to join up and support the club there is a great membership package which includes advertising space and a copy of the attendance list, but that’s up to you. There’s plenty of free parking and food, tea and coffee is provided free of charge. How’s that for great value?
The meetings are very informal – there are no bells or whistles and you don’t need to give a 60 second speech. The meetings are very popular, so we can guarantee you will meet a real mix of businesses – large and small. This is a great opportunity to make new contacts and catch up with old friends in a relaxed environment.

To keep things fair, we only allow up to 5 businesses from any trade or profession to attend, so please book early to avoid disappointment. Aaron will add contact details of everyone who books in to the attendance list which is available to you if you become a member.
