I attended Greensward Academy in Hockley before attending the University of Winchester to study law. After graduating I continued my training at a law firm in Southend, close to where I live. I gained experience in several areas of law including Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Commercial and Residential Conveyancing as well as Employment Law. I have worked on matters which involve a variety of issues such as disability discrimination, sex discrimination, unequal pay, whistleblowing cases as well as drafting employment contracts and advising on redundancy procedures.
I am delighted to join the Employment Team at Backhouse Solicitors and excited to embark on a new journey. I am looking forward to working with clients from a mixed array of industries and sectors with their employment law issues.
With the complexities that Employment Law brings, it is important that my clients feel comfortable and that they fully understand the issues they are faced with and the options that they have, and I will ensure that everything is explained in a way that is clear and concise without too much legal jargon!
In my spare time, I can be found with my head in a book! Reading daily enables me to relax and unwind. I have a very keen interest in film which I find therapeutic, social and educational and most weekends I like to go on long walks with my dog Luna, who I rescued in 2020.
