I spent my younger years living in Seven Kings until my parents divorced and then moved to Abridge.

My career began as a legal cashier at a firm in Loughton and after some time I moved on to a job at the MOD. It turned out that wasn’t for me but luckily my previous employer asked me back, which led to an opportunity in the family department.

While studying and after qualifying, I worked for various local firms dealing with the full remit of family law from divorce, finance, children (including care), prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and disputes and have practised solely in family law for over 20 years.

I am delighted to embark on the next chapter in my career at Backhouse Solicitors, and I am looking forward to helping more clients resolve their legal issues.

At Backhouse Solicitors, I will be leading and heading the family department.

In my spare time I enjoy travel (although not the flying!), good food, a glass (or two) of champagne, the theatre and spending time with family and friends. I am also the secretary of two registered charities – one that helps stray and feral cats in Spain through a trap, neuter and return (TNR) policy and the other, the First Stop Centre in Braintree, helps the disadvantaged in the community through various projects and services. So, plenty to keep me busy!

How I can help

Achieving positive results for clients that enable them to move on in their lives is extremely rewarding. Family Law matters can be extremely difficult for people, and I aim to approach all cases with sensitivity and professionalism.

I can help clients with divorce proceedings, financial matters resulting from the breakdown of a relationship, matters relating to child arrangements, co-habitation and pre-nuptial agreements and more.
