We are pleased to announce that our team have chosen Farleigh Hospice as our Charity of the Year 2024.
We are looking forward to partaking in various fundraising events throughout the year to raise money for such a great cause! We will work to spread awareness of the charity so that others may also be inspired to help.
Who are Farleigh Hospice
Farleigh Hospice is a registered charity that was established in 1982 to provide hospice care to people affected by life-limiting illnesses and bereavement across mid-Essex.
They provide a range of services tailored to meet an individual’s physical, emotional and psychological needs.
All the services offered by Farleigh Hospice are completely free of charge and although they receive some funding from the NHS, it is not enough to cover the £6 million it costs each year to provide their services and as such, rely on the support and generosity of the community to help.
What are we doing to help?
Throughout the year, the Backhouse team will be supporting Farleigh through a wide range of fundraising events such as movie nights, quizzes, sponsored walks, bake sales (always popular!), tuck shops and more.
Backhouse Solicitors has been a regular participant in Farleigh’s annual “Make a Will” campaign, and we will be involved in this again this year. We also offer free 30-minute consultations to our new clients giving them the option for them to make a small donation to Farleigh in return for our time.
