What an excellent meeting – thank you to all the guests who joined us for breakfast on 15 August. It’s great to see theFriends of Braintree Town meetings hitting over 50 attendees after just 4 meetings, with guests from a wide range of local businesses.
A big thank you also to our guest Nicola Beach, Chief Executive of Braintree District Council. Nicola joined us to support her local businesses and impressed us all with her positive attitude and commitment to supporting growth in Braintree. We look forward to seeing her and other members of her team at future meetings.
Our next event is an afternoon meeting on Thursday 19 September and we already have over 70 guests booked in for this month. As always, the meeting will be a great opportunity for businesses from Braintree and the surrounding areas to get together in a relaxed and informal environment to meet new contacts and strengthen existing relationships. There is no speed networking, you don’t have to give a speech and it won’t cost you a penny!
What do you need to know?
We get together once a month at Braintree Town FC (The Amlin Stadium, Clockhouse Way, Braintree, Essex, CM7 3RD). The next meeting is Thursday 19 September from 4:30pm – 6.30pm. The meetings are free to attend – if you like us and you’d like to join up and support the club there is a great membership package which includes advertising space and a copy of the attendance list with contact details, but that’s up to you. There’s plenty of free parking and food, tea and coffee is provided free of charge. How’s that for great value?
The meetings are very informal – there are no bells or whistles and you don’t need to give a 60 second speech. We expect a lot of bookings, so we can guarantee you will meet a real mix of businesses – large and small. This is a great opportunity to make new contacts and catch up with old friends in a relaxed environment. Minal Backhouse, our MD will give a short presentation on a current topic of interest, so you’ll have 5 minutes’ break to eat your food!
