What a great event! Thank you very much to everyone who attended Friends of City on 21 February. Just over 200 people booked in and over 150 joined us for lunch and some excellent networking with old friends and new contacts. While other events come and go, Friends of City is over 4 years old and more popular than ever!
Word is spreading far and wide about the great mix of businesses attending the meetings. New visitors are joining us each month from all around Essex, London and the South East and we already have 95 booked in for 26 March 2013. If you haven’t made it along to a meeting yet then now is your chance to try us out! So, before you ask “when is the next one?” here are all the details.
So what do you need to know?
We get together once a month at Chelmsford City FC (Melbourne Park, Salerno Way, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 2EH), alternating between breakfast and lunchtime meetings. The next event is a breakfast on Tuesday 26 March from 7am-9am. The meetings are free to attend – if you like us and you’d like to join up and support the club there is a great membership package which includes advertising space and a copy of the attendance list, but that’s up to you. There’s plenty of free parking and food, tea and coffee is provided free of charge. How’s that for great value?
The meetings are very informal – there are no bells or whistles and you don’t need to give a 60 second speech. We have already taken lots of bookings, so we can guarantee you will meet a real mix of businesses – large and small. This is a great opportunity to make new contacts and catch up with old friends in a relaxed environment. Minal Backhouse, our MD will give a short presentation on a current topic of interest, so you’ll have 5 minutes’ break to eat your lunch!
