I grew up in London and studied law at Queen Mary University where I graduated in 2015. I gained experience as a paralegal between 2017 and 2022 in various areas of law working for firms and in-house. I obtained a training contract and particularly enjoyed my commercial property seat.
Commercial property work drew me in because it is based on foundation problem-solving, teamwork and critical thinking. It gave me the opportunity to work within a dynamic environment where the solution to each legal problem is unique, varied and diverse. I really enjoyed how it developed my skills to become more all-rounded and multi-skilled, especially the ability to use knowledge outside of law in my work such as interests and skills in business when providing advice to clients in context of their commercial needs.
Backhouse Solicitors has a reputation for excellent customer service and when a position came up in the Commercial Property team, I knew it would be ideal for me.
In my spare time, I try to get to the gym as much as I can. I enjoy working out and have learnt that not only is it a way I can take my focus off of work, it also helps me to develop self-motivation and discipline. At the weekends I like to spend time with family and friends and when I get the chance, I go hiking in the Peak District, Brecon Beacon etc.
