A bit about the role
A new opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor or Conveyancing Executive (unqualified with sufficient experience and knowledge and/or who is undertaking professional training to become qualified) to join our highly reputable conveyancing team.
The right candidate will have experience of residential property law transactions and be able to take on a full caseload and hit the ground running!
Working within a very experienced team who are passionate about helping each other develop and improve, you will be working on residential transactions, dealing with existing clients as well as new ones, offering expert, commercially minded legal advice and ensuring that the service levels we provide remain top-class.
Day to day responsibilities
- Building up a good rapport with referrers and clients
- You will deal effectively with clients and third parties over the telephone, in written correspondence and occasionally face to face, in order to provide advice and assistance
- You will be responsible for chasing various documentation, ID, mortgage offers and searches
- Proactive updates to the client regarding their transaction, contract checks, mortgage reports and search results checking, replying to freehold and leasehold enquiries
- Dealing with existing residential titles (new build experience would be beneficial but not essential for this role)
- Dealing with the exchange of contracts and completion of purchase
- Working alongside the team to achieve monthly targets and KPIs
- Growing the Backhouse business – working with the rest of the team to develop new opportunities and communicating our message to attract new

- A good knowledge of conveyancing and running your own caseload from start to finish with minimal supervision.

Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm
