I am a qualified solicitor specialising in Family Law. I grew up in Gravesend, Kent and attended Northfleet School for Girls before going to the University of Westminster to study Law. I realised quite early on, whilst studying for my degree, that it was Family Law that I felt passionate about and I knew then, that it was the area I wanted to pursue. After graduating, I joined a Family Law firm in London as a Trainee Solicitor.
I am delighted to have joined the Family Law team at Backhouse Solicitors in Chelmsford, Essex, and excited to be taking on new challenges and a new caseload. Of course, not forgetting how nice it is to be working more locally!
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends and going to the cinema. I also like to find the time to go swimming at the weekends. As I have a keen interest in interior design, more often than not, I can also be found swamped under various Homes & Interior magazines being inspired!
How I can help
My passion for helping people enables me to approach every case with sensitivity and make the best out of an unfortunate situation that clients often find themselves in. I believe in trying to resolve matters fairly and with the minimum of upheaval and disruption if children are involved. I understand that in some situations it is not possible to reach an agreement, and, in those instances, I endeavour to help advise and support my clients as much as possible.
I can assist in the breakdown of relationships, divorce, issues involving children and child arrangements, financial matters resulting from the breakdown of a relationship, non-molestation order matters, as well as attending court hearings.
