I have known Liz since 2013. Her assistance in the sale of our flat was critical for us to be able to complete. At the time when we sold, some major capex works were being carried out in our building. We knew that the works would attract a significant amount of service charges in the future and it was difficult to estimate how much. As a seller, I had serious reservations that we could get the sale through for the price we wanted with this liability. Liz proposed reasonable and fair terms to deal with this matter so that the buyer was protected, without us having to waive a big portion of our equity to achieve the sale.I also appointed Luz to act for me when I bought my own property. Many thanks to Liz and Bob for helping us with our conveyancing process. Especially for 1st time buyers we really did not know what to expect and how the process looks like.Their communication was brilliant. They were very patient in explaining us various details. Replied quickly to our emails and kept us up to date all the time. We've asked few questions that they had do chase the seller solicitors for which they did and negotiated hard in our name for some contract adjustments.The purchase process took some time but Backhouse did not add time to it. We always waited for somebody else: bank or the seller.Once we've found some inconsistencies within one document they prepared but they were quick to rectify, apologize and gave us a significant discount on their fee.I'd highly reccomend them for conveyancing services.

I was very impressed with using Backhouse Solicitors for the conveyancing on a house purchase. Catie and Chelsea were very responsive with clear communication and I felt that the purchase moved at a good pace. The cost was reasonable compared to other quotes but compared to other conveyancing solicitors I have used the service was better.
